Holding a PhD in political philosophy from Paris Diderot University (Paris 7), Zeynep Gambetti worked as a faculty member in the Political Science Department at Boğaziçi University from 2000 to 2020. Influenced by Marx, Arendt, and Deleuze, her work focuses on theories of action, conflictual social movements and neoliberal forms of violence. She edited and contributed to several volumes, including Rhetorics of Insecurity: Belonging and Violence in the Neoliberal Era (New York UP, 2013), The Kurdish issue in Turkey: A Spatial Perspective, (Routledge, 2015) and Vulnerability in Resistance: Politics, Feminism, Theory (Duke UP, 2016).
